*A NOTE ON AIRFARE:
Cowabunga Safaris’ travel agent can possibly quote CHEAPER AIRFARE if contacted early.  The airfare quoted above is a conservative estimate on our part, but can only be guaranteed up to 121 days before departure.  Inside 121 days, prices will almost assuredly be more expensive, or no seats available -- a reflection of the continent’s lower flight volume when compared to other regions of the world.  Also, safarists are NOT limited to departing from, say, Kansas City;  our travel agent is happy to quote airfare from any city on request.

Finally, be aware that even in the internet age true last-minute deals on airfare to Africa are rare. If found, these “deals” often involve layovers, multiple connections, much time, and a plethora of restrictions.  One should therefore purchase tickets with caution.  A website which does a pretty good job of explaining why airfare deals to Africa are rare can be found here .

As always, we’re happy to consult with you about air arrangements – and Africa -- at no obligation.

The safaris above are our set departures. They are only a sampling of where we can go or what we can do. The following “sample safari links” might give you additional ideas…

Kenya

Namibia

South Africa

Tanzania

Since 1974, we at Cowabunga Safaris have done many, many kinds and variations of safaris for clients nearly everywhere in Southern and East Africa. Additionally, Gary and Brian have made valuable friends and contacts throughout much of the rest of the continent after their own individual explorations - to Timbuktu, The Congo, Senegal, Mozambique, Ethiopia, Egypt... These safaris are our set departures. They are only a sampling of where we can go or what we can do.

If you have a different safari in mind, wish to stay longer, or want to travel to other parts of the continent, tell us. We can make it happen.

AFRICA CALLS

If you’re serious about going on safari, don’t put it off.
Do it now.
Life is so uncertain.
Everything changes: world politics, personal finances, age, health, airfares.
Some of life’s greatest regrets are missed opportunities.
Don’t wait until outside factors prevent your going.
Get your passport.
Make your reservation.
Do your reading.
Go. Now.
Before all those tomorrows slip into never.
Preserve, forever, a piece of Africa in your heart.

-- Gary K. Clarke
